Sydney Water shortlists partners for ERP, CRM overhaul

Sydney Water has shortlisted three companies for the overhaul of its ERP and CRM setup.

The organisation in June sought expressions of interests for the program, which will involve designing, building and running an SAP-based ERP system, and billing and CRM systems.

The company’s CIO, George Hunt, previously described it as a “once in a generation investment in technology”.

“The enterprise resource planning, billing and CRM programs are integral to our vision as we look towards 2020 and beyond to becoming one of the world’s best water utilities,” the CIO said.

“We are looking for a dynamic and experienced partner to help us achieve this goal.”

Sydney Water said today that Wipro, CapGemini and Accenture had made the shortlist.

“We were very impressed by the response from the market after announcing our plans to find a new technology partner,” Paul Freeman, Sydney Water’s executive, customer and business experience platforms, said in a statement.

“We are confident that our selection processes will result in a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship between Sydney Water and our chosen partner,” Freeman said.

“We will now participate in a competitive interactive dialogue and tender process with each of them, before announcing the winning tender.”
