BOSTON (03/30/2000) - Microsoft Corp. and IT service provider Comdisco Inc. today said they will offer a suite of services aimed at helping businesses maximize their Web-based networks.
The services will be targeted at companies running Microsoft's Windows NT and Windows 2000 Server operating systems and will focus on providing reliable access to data, applications, hardware, networks and storage, according to a statement from the companies.
Microsoft and Comdisco will "run the customer's environment" through one of Comdisco's labs to assess and address the level of availability of the customer's network, according to Joseph Lindstrom, director of business development, product support, at Microsoft.
Customers can also sign on for service-level agreements that guarantee a certain level of availability for the network, Lindstrom said. The services will be available beginning Saturday, he said.
