The Bug Report

SAN MATEO (02/11/2000) - Apple Computer Inc.'s Macintosh Manager 1.2.4 fixes the bug in Macintosh Manager 1.2.2 that allowed a security violation in Mac OS 7.6.1 through OS 8.6 computers. Without the fix, it may be possible to access other users' folders despite the presence of Restricted Finder and Panel safeguards.

Microsoft Corp. says that if you try to run Internet Explorer 5 for Windows NT 4.0 on a Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition, SP4 or SP5, and try to see the Help file, you may get this error: This File can not be opened: IEXPLORE.CHM.

The work-around for this problem is to edit the Windows NT Registry. For details of the Registry key and keyword to add, see support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q249/7/25.ASP.
