Citrix Acquires Innovex for US$47.8 Million

LONDON (02/17/2000) - Citrix Systems Inc. has purchased Internet consulting company Innovex Group Inc. for US$47.8 million, the company announced yesterday.

Citrix will fold Innovex into its own electronic business consulting services division, Citrix Worldwide Customer Services, the company said in a statement.

Randall Bast, co-founder and former chief executive officer of Innovex, will become the new vice president of Citrix Consulting Service, Citrix said.

Citrix's primary business is producing application server software for multi-tier and Web-based application development, and the consulting service arm of the company will promote those Citrix products, the company said.

Citirix's products include MetaFrame and Independent Computing Architecture (ICA), its core application-server technology.
