AAPT's new New Zealand owner, Telecom NZ, is positioning the company for a bigger share of the lucrative outsourcing market.
The TransTasman group, which is the country's No 3 telco carrier, wants the business of companies in Australia considering outsourcing their IT&T departments and particularly of those that also operate in New Zealand.
The market for telco services from Australia's top 170,000 corporate and government customers (not including the top 50 super-corporates) is predicted to reach $6 billion within in the next five years, a period in which AAPT believes it can increase its share of that market from just under 5 per cent today to 20 per cent. w
