Inprise/Borland, CSC and CiTR have formed an alliance aiming to become the major supplier of federated portals to all three tiers of government in Australia.
The ambitious plans include the development, implementation and hosting of at least 10 government portals by mid-2001. The alliance will enable total outsourcing of the development, maintenance, management and security of portals.
CSC federal systems vice president, Sheryle Moon said the company is the only outsourcing provider with the ability to certify security products on behalf of the commonwealth, a key requirement in the Office for Government Online initiative.
