Networking vendor 3Com is offering discounts against old and outdated hubs, switches, NICs or PABX from most of its competitors as part of a new Trade Up program that aims to entice upgrades to new 3Com products.
"We know that IT budgets are under pressure," said Mike Clarke, country manager, 3Com Australia/NZ.
"Most organisations have networks or phone systems that need to be replaced and this program offers customers the chance to upgrade to the latest networking solutions from 3Com in a cost-effective way."
3Com channel partners are able to get significant discounts for replacing the old networking equipment of customers with new 3Com solutions, according to Clarke.
"The Trade Up program has been very successful in Europe and we expect local IT managers to embrace the opportunity to get a return on their old equipment," he said.
