PayPal expands One Touch service in Australia

Payment provider rolls out One Touch for Web

PayPal has rolled out its One Touch for Web checkout service to Australia.

After logging into pay via PayPal on one merchant's website a user does not have to log into PayPal again for purchases from other merchants' websites.

One Touch for iOS and Android were launched in December.

According to PayPal Australia managing director Libby Roy, the company wants to help merchants recapture US$4 trillion dollars of merchandise which is abandoned in shopping carts.

“We know that speed and ease of checkout is a key factor in driving sales conversions for our merchant partners at the checkout and the extension of One Touch to the Web means that our merchants are now positioned to offer the very best customer experience across all devices,” Roy said.

Flight Centre and Kogan.com are amongst the first Australian merchants to enable One Touch payment on the Web with the service to roll out to hundreds of PayPal merchants in the coming weeks.
