Fujitsu has launched a managed Chromebook service targeting enterprises in Australia and NZ.
Under the offering from the systems integrator, enterprises will be able to select choose the model of Chromebook they want to deploy.
Fujitsu said that the service will include user and device management, application provisioning, and OS and hardware support.
As part of Fujitsu's 'Virtual Workplace Solution' Citrix's desktop and application virtualization software will be used to deliver access to Windows applications on the Chromebooks.
"We know from our discussions with our customers that there is a growing interest in the Chromebook as an enterprise platform," said Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand's CEO, Mike Foster.
"We are proud of our new partnership with Google and our ability to continue pushing innovation boundaries."
Foster said Fujitsu is the first systems integrator to offer managed services to enterprises for Chromebooks.
One of the highest profile Australian organisations to make the jump to the lightweight portables based on Chrome OS is Woolworths, as part of a transformation program that included the widespread adoption of Google Apps.
