UPDATED: AARNet confirms international connectivity issues

Equipment fault causing connectivity issues to some international sites

AARNet has confirmed that an equipment fault is causing intermittent connectivity issues to some overseas sites.

“The faulty equipment has been isolated and is being investigated by the vendor and AARNet engineers. Meanwhile, international traffic is flowing via diverse paths,” said an AARNet spokeswoman.

"It [the fault] is not affecting everyone and most services were restored within the hour. However, we’re aware of some exceptions and are working on fixes for those."

Update: 12/6/14. AARnet confirmed that all services were restored at 3.29 pm yesterday.
