Former Cisco Canada business markets vice-president Mike Ansley has been hired as Avaya’s new Asia Pacific president.

Ansley is replacing Mike Muller who is leaving Avaya to pursue other opportunities, the company said. Muller had been in the APAC president role for over two years.

Based in Singapore, Ansley’s responsibilities will include South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Korea.

According to Avaya global field operations president, Pierre-Paul Allard, Ansley was chosen for the role due to his 20 years of experience in the IT industry and achieving “significant results” in sales practices.
