The role is effective immediately

Cloud and business telco, Macquarie Telecom, has appointed former SingTel Optus account manager, Brian Fenwick, as its general manager for government hosting.

Fenwick will be responsible for driving the company’s government hosting strategy while building and maintaining relationships for long-term growth.

The appointment, aimed at supporting increasing demand for Macquarie Telcom’s government hosting security services, is effective immediately.

Fenwick brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the IT and telco industry, previously director of the public sector for Avanade Australia, a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft.

“Fenwick brings a wealth of knowledge that directly aligns to Macquarie Telecom’s business and government strategy,” Macquarie Telecom managing director of hosting, Aidan Tudehope, said in a statement.

“Throughout his career, Fenwick has focused on building key relationships with federal, state and local government stakeholders.

“We are pleased to have Fenwick on board and look forward to him exploring and building on Macquarie Telecom’s growth and success in Government Hosting.”
