Digislide signs new distributor

Digislide (ASX:DGI) has signed a deal to sell its gaming projectors through channels including Amazon and OfficeMax, through new NA distributor Navarre

Projection technology and IPTV company Digislide (ASX:DGI) has signed a new North American distributor for its line of gaming projectors.

Digislide on Tuesday revealed it had entered an agreement with Navarre Corporation covering distribution of projectors for the three major consoles through retailers including Fry's Electronics, OfficeMax and OfficeDepot.

The agreement also covers major North American online channels including Amazon, Fingerhut and newegg.

Digislide's deal follows the signing of a similar distribution agreement with global IT distributor Ingram Micro in May. This agreement also covers the US market, notably resellers including Walmart, Best Buy and Costco.

Digislide has been working with Global Marketing Partners on a promotional campaign for the Ingram Micro resellers, and said it would develop similar strategies for the Navarre deal.

In June, Digislide entered a partnership deal with Adelaide's Bencom Group to develop NFC-based technologies.

The company reported a reduced net loss of $1.9 million in FY11, unaudited results show.

DGI shares stayed flat on Tuesday at $0.030.
