Internode announces Easy Bundle plans

New plans combine phone and broadband as a single service via the Optus Wholesale access network

Internet Service Provider (ISP), Internode has announced the release of three new Easy Bundle plans in an attempt to extend the reach of its large data plans across the country.

The Easy Bundle plans will be available at approximately 300 telephone exchanges across Australia and data quotas will range from 150 to 300 gigabytes (GB) per month.

The plans, which integrate ADSL2+ broadband with an analogue telephone service, start with the Easy Bundle-S at $84.90 for 150GB, the Easy Bundle-M has 250GB for $104.90 and the Easy Bundle-L plan has 350GB of data for $124.90.

Internode product manager, Jim Kellett, said the launch of the Easy Bundle plans was to extend the range of the ISP’s large data quota plans.

“These plans combine phone and broadband as a single service via the Optus Wholesale access network,” Kellett said in a statement.

The plans will count both downloads and uploads in the monthly data quota.

Internode claims to offer broadband services at 256/256 kilobits per second to Easy Bundle customers who exceed their monthly quotas.

As reported by Computerworld Australia, the ISP recently cut its the cost of its terabyte broadband plans by $30 a month, bringing it closer in line with competing ISPs pricing.

The ISP also speculated that Telstra’s wholesale division was giving some retail internet service providers better deals because they hadn’t built out their own competitive broadband infrastructure like Internode, iiNet and TPG had.
