Melbourne IT has embarked upon a three year, $18 million integrated web services project aimed at providing the services company with a single view of its customers.
The project, supported by India-based HCL Technologies, will also improve the company’s billing processes, other business process and cut the number of systems requiring IT support.
The IWS project will also see Oracle implement a unified financial management system to improve billing processes across the company.
The IWS project expected to be completed in 2012.
The announcement follows on from the release of Melbourne IT’s 2009 annual results in which the company recorded an eight per cent increase in revenues over 2008 to $200.1 million.
Net profit after tax was four per cent up over 2008 to $16.8 million.
