Google today expanded its localised Australian services with the launch of Google Transit for Adelaide. It is the second Australian city to receive the service.
Google Transit compiles public transport information for major cities and overlays this information onto Google Maps. Users can access this information in order to get transit directions between two locations. The service has previously only been available locally in Perth.
The announcement was made through Google's official Australian blog.
Two weeks ago iPhone users gained access to Google Transit through the iPhone 2.2 Software Update. Google Transit's expansion will allow iPhone users to get transit directions for Adelaide through the phone's Maps application.
