Liquid-based server cooling package released locally

Ideal for high density server environments

IT infrastructure provider, Rittal, has announced the availability of its Liquid Cooling Package (LCP) Plus in the Australian market.

Ideal for high density server environments, LCP Plus was released yesterday.

Used for liquid-based server cooling, LCP Plus provides consistent and even distribution of chilled air in front of the 19" level, high airflow rates to meet data centre standards and provision for a cooling performance of up to 30 kW.

The LCP also possesses its own regulation system, which can be integrated into a monitoring network via a Computer Multi Control Top Concept (CMC-TC).

Users benefit from comprehensive safety features and remote access over an IP network.

Local customers include the NSW Department of Commerce and the Department of Defence.

One customer, RimatriX5 product manager, Mark Roberts, said the constantly increasing packing densities and ever increasing processor speeds of computer systems are causing thermal problems that need to be considered right at the planning stage of IT systems, racks and computer centres.

"Cooling and energy efficiency solutions such as this LCP will continue to form a pivotal part in our product strategy which also includes rack, power, security, monitoring and remote management," Roberts said.

LCP has been tested and approved for both TUV and GS certifications.

Rittal operates 19 high-tech production locations, 60 international subsidiaries, 150 sales and logistics centres, and more than 70 agencies around the globe.

The German-based company has 9000 employees worldwide.
