Melbourne-based software developer Open Wave has landed a multi-million dollar contract to supply European call centre company, BSkyB.
Under the contract, Open Wave will supply its workforce management solution software to BSkyB's 6000 contact centre operators. Satellite TV giant BSkyB has more than 6.8 million digital subscribers and its staff manage up to one million calls a week.
Open Wave’s software is designed to allow BSkyB to roster call centre staff according to peak customer periods.
The contract is a significant win for the local developer, giving it a foothold in the massive European call centre industry.
Open Wave has grown at the rate of 500 per cent a year and owns about 30 per cent of the local market.
