Intel and NEC today will announce a partnership centring on the internet.
NEC president Koji Nishigaki and Craig Barrett, Intel's president and chief executive officer, will jointly make the announcement at an event held in Tokyo, according to the companies.
Further details about the agreement between the two companies were not available.
In related news, NEC yesterday detailed a new corporate restructuring plan aimed at steering the Japanese electronics giant towards becoming an internet-centric company.
